Gerry Shuttleworth Memorial Trophy: 27th June 2011

The 2nd annual Gerry Shuttleworth Memorial Trophy was held at Kloof CC on 27th June 2011.
There was so much interest in this event that the field was oversubscribed and had to be limited to 100 players. The Society is well and truly 'revitalised'.
With this in mind, for the next event in October, early booking is recommended, to avoid disappointment. Watch the website for details.

Teams and individuals from all over KZN participated, from as far a-field as Ladysmith, Kokstad and Eshowe. It would be great to see participants from the North and South Coasts also.

The Kloof course was in lovely condition. The Kloof CC management and staff made us very welcome and did a great job with everything, plus provided a delicious supper.

Late year's winners of the Floating Trophy (Umhlali) kindly had an extra base put on the trophy and affixed a plaque commemorating their win.

This year the Trophy was won by Kloof Country Club, on 92 points. The team being Messrs. Glyn Broli, Tom Bray, Graham Agar and Andy Goodman.
2nd place (91) Boschhoek CC team of Messrs. Yeats, Perry Erskine,van der Watt
3rd place (89) Mt.Edgecombe Golf Club team of Messrs. Subramoney, Doorsamy, Johny, Govender
4th place (85) Richmond CC team of Messrs. Hawkins, Chambler, Saulez, Durrheim
Four nearest the pins were won by Messrs. Durrheim, Broli, Fraser and Cardinal.
The prizes were all especially etched with the Society logo and are not only lovely, but useful too.
