Dear Fellow Captain,

I hope this note finds you all well and surviving the CV 19 lockdown and all the restrictions it brings.
Not the least of which I no golf. Still we should be grateful, so many people are much worse off.

The date, for the 2020 Gerry Shuttleworth Memorial Trophy and 60th Anniversary celebration.
Is postponed to 27th October 2020, to be held at Kloof Country Club. Please note the revised date and advise your fellow club Captains, past and present and let's try for a bumper turnout for this special event.

The AGM will be held before the prize-giving, at about 17h00. We must elect a new Committee. Nominations for the positions of Captain, Vice-Captain and Secretary are called for, please. Both myself and Pier Turconi will be standing down. Continuity is essential.

The format will be a 4-Ball Alliance Stableford, with two scores to count on each hole. Eligible teams are those made up of current, or past Captains of KZN golf clubs and/or other specified Members of the Society. New members are most welcome and encouraged.
Please propose your current club Captain, if he is not already a Member of the Society.

The 2019 GSMT winners were again Central Durban Golf Club. Who will it be this year?
The floating trophy may be won by any team comprising four Members all representing the same club. All other prizes, including 1st prize, are eligible to all entrants, including mixed teams.
Special commemorative 60th Anniversary prizes will be up for grabs.

Kindly register your team, or your individual entries, on the website, by 16th October 2020, including making the necessary payment by EFT to the Society's Nedbank account.
Refunds will only be made in case of cancellations with at least 7 days notice.

Please get your entries in as soon as possible, it really does help with the planning.
Kloof Country Club is a great venue and both the course and the hospitality are much looked forward to. I am sure this year's event will be as successful as those past.
