Dear Fellow Captain,

Well Gents, another year has flown by and soon the 2019 Gerry Shuttleworth will be upon us.
I hope that you are all well and your golf and life in fine fettle?

We now have a date, for the 2019 Gerry Shuttleworth Memorial Trophy. It is 20th May 2019, to be held at Kloof Country Club. Please make a note of the date and share with your fellow Captains, past and present and let's see how many teams we can get to enter. Please encourage new Members to join.

A short AGM will be held before the prize-giving, at about 17h00. We need to elect a new Committee. Nominations for the positions of Captain, Vice-Captain and Secretary are called for, please.

As usual, the format will be a 4-Ball Alliance Stableford, with two scores to count on each hole. Eligible teams are those made up of current, or past Captains of KZN golf clubs and/or other specified Members of the Society. New members are most welcome and encouraged.
Please propose your current club Captain, if he is not already a Member of the Society.

The 2018 GSMT winners were again the Central Durban Golf Club. It will be a real challenge to try and get the trophy away from them this year, they seem to like it ! Come on guys, let's give them a real run for the money this year!
The floating trophy may be won by any team comprising four Members all representing the same club. All other prizes, including 1st prize, are eligible for all entrants, including mixed teams.

Kindly register your team, or your individual entries, on the website, by 10th of May, including making the necessary payment by EFT to the Society's Nedbank account.
Refunds will only be made in case of cancellations with at least 7 day notice.

Society shirts and caps will be available for purchase on the day, at 50% discount to clear!

Kloof Country Club is always a great venue and the course and the hospitality are much looked forward to. We do hope we may look forward to a well-supported event.
