Dear Fellow Captain,

My how time flies, it seems to go faster each year. I have heard many explanations for this phenomenon, but I guess the truth is that life simply gets 'busier' all the time. Or could it really be possible that it goes faster the older we get?

I hope this note finds you well and that we may look forward to your participation in this year's event, to be held at Kloof Country Club on the 20th June 2017. This is the eighth anniversary.

The AGM will be held before the prize-giving and we hope to elect a new Committee. Nominations for the positions of Captain, Vice-Captain and Secretary are called for, please. We are also asking all Members to put forward any suggestions towards promoting the Society and indeed to improving its offering/s. New ideas and fresh thinking are essential to keep any organisation relevant and 'alive'.

As always the format will be a 4-Ball Alliance Stableford, with two to count on each hole. Eligible teams are those made up of current, or past Captains of KZN golf clubs and/or other specified Members of the Society. New members are most welcome and encouraged. Please propose your current club Captain if he is not already a Member of the Society. Membership forms on the website www.gcsn.org.za

Last year's winners were Kloof CC 1. The floating trophy may be won by any team comprising four Members all representing the same club. All other prizes, including 1st prize, apply to all entrants, including mixed teams.

Please register your team, or your individual entries, on the website, by 9th of June latest, including making the necessary payment by EFT to the Society's Nedbank account.
Refunds will only be made in case of cancellations with at least 7 days notice.

Society shirts and caps will be available for purchase on the day, as will Membership forms.

Please get your entries in as soon as you can, it helps enormously with the planning.
We always have a great day at Kloof Country Club and we are sure this year will prove the same.
