Dear Fellow Captain,

I am pleased to announce the date and cordially invite you to participate in the sixth annual Gerry Shuttleworth Memorial Trophy, to be held at Kloof Country Club on 25th May 2015.

As before, the Trophy will be contested by 'same-club' 4-ball alliance teams, made up of Captains and past-Captains of KZN golf clubs and other qualified members of the Golf Captains Society of KZN. The 2014 holders of the Floating Trophy are the team from Central Durban Golf Club, who have held it for two consecutive years and will no doubt be looking to continue their 'reign'. A great challenge for the rest of us, to 'wrest' it from them. All in the name of good sport, good camaraderie and friendship.

Mixed teams, i.e. teams not made up of players from the same club, are welcome to participate and will be eligible for all prizes on offer, including the 1st prize and individual prizes, but not the Trophy , which is a "Team Award".

I am also delighted to announce that Steve Cottingham will be our after dinner guest speaker. Steve was recently elected PGA Teaching Professional of the Year and you can learn more about him on his website: www.steve-cottingham-golf.com. Don't miss this.

Please register by entering the names of your team, or individual name/s, by not later than 15th May 2015. (The entry form is attached herewith.) Pre-payment by EFT, or bank deposit is mandatory. Bank details are on the entry form. NB. Refunds will only be considered if 7 days' notice is given.

Please note: Save the sponsors guest, only members of the Golf Captains Society are eligible to enter. New members are very welcome. In fact we ask you to please try and encourage current/past Captains to join. Membership forms are available at www.gcsn.org.za as are other interesting items and a photo gallery of past events.

This year we return to Kloof Country Club, where we have had record fields in the past, so please get your entry/payment in early, to help us facilitate a successful day.
