Dear Fellow Captain,

I am pleased to announce the date and cordially invite you to participate in the fifth annual Gerry Shuttleworth Memorial Trophy, to be held at Royal Durban Golf Club on 26th May 2014.

As usual, the Trophy will be contested by 'same-club' 4-ball alliance teams, made up of Captains and past-Captains of KZN golf clubs and other qualified members of the Golf Captains Society of KZN. The 2013 holders of the Floating Trophy are the team from Central Durban Golf Club, who in fact finished second behind the Sponsor's team led by Red Shuttleworth, but they took the qualifying team event honours.

Mixed teams, i.e. teams not made up of players from the same club, are welcome to participate and will be eligible for the other prizes on offer, including the 1st prize and individual prizes, but not the Trophy (see above, it happens!)

Please register by entering the names of your team, or individual name/s, by not later than 12th May 2014. (The entry form is attached herewith.) Pre-payment by EFT, or bank deposit is mandatory. Bank details are on the entry form.
NB. Refunds will only be considered if 7 days' notice is given.

Please note: Save the guest sponsors, only members of the Golf Captains Society are eligible to enter. Membership forms are available on our website www.gcsn.org.za as are other interesting items and a photo gallery of past events. New members are very welcome. In fact please encourage current/past Captains to join.

We had a good turn-out last year and look forward to the same this year, so please get your entry/payment in early, to help us facilitate a successful day.

This year we have a new central venue and we look forward to seeing you all there.
